    Is Chardons worth fishing? Sunny coast}

    I want to give that Chardons a hit for a over nighter on the weekend. Dose it fish any better than Sunshine or other local reefs?
    Also dose it get a hammering?
    Thanks Chris

    It gets hammered just as much as North reef, Sunshine etc.
    Like all reefs, it has it's days when it fires.

    The second best snapper i've every caught came from there! I like fishing up that way and personally feel it gets hit abit less than the other systems up there.
    Alcohol doesn't agree with me, but i sure do enjoy the argument!!!

    the better fish seem to come from the outer edges and away from the main reef on this certain arean ,where it gets flogged

    Chris was up that way a couple of weeks ago during the day alot of small fish but the boy got a big cod about 30kg. It was to rough to get to the Hards. If the weather is good spend an extra half hour and goto the hards.

    Yep.

    Have also found Chardons to be a nursery for parrot, perch, lippers etc.

    Haven't got any proven techniques. Maybe swim them in the live bait tank for a while??????
    Last time I was there the wife told me to up anchor & fish elsewhere 'cause every fish was a throwback & they weren't swimming away well.
