Anybody know where the nursery reefs are in front of Rainbow Beach, at DI point.
I believe they are nearly in front of the sand blow, but not sure.
Anybody have GPS marks for this small reef ???
Madai there are two different locations you could be talking about. The one you seem to be chasing is what is called "Mudlo" which is the coffe rock area out from the sand blow off Rainbow. There is another spot called nurserys further along towards DI and its just off the breakers from the beach. This one sands up often and it's not a very large area.
This is for the large coffe rock area "mudlow" off the sandblow
S25 54.915 E153 06.844 I have heaps of marks all within a 100-150 mtr radius around this mark. Live bait can be plentyful but dead at times.

We are looking to fish some reef areas in close, and many people have mentioned these inner smaller reef areas, but not known of their exact location.
So, any tips for closer in the bay to avoid the strong southerlies would be an alternative if we can't get past the head land.
IF the wind comes up too strong this weekend, and being a southerly at the weekend, once you get out past wolf Rock the wind hits you hard.
