what I am keen to find is some literature describing the best way to run lures out of a trailer boat with an outboard, as opposed to the majority of stuff written that is for big inboard powered game boats.

    Nick,

    awesome!

    Mick,

go out in December, chuck some lures out the back, troll round, catch fish! Easy as that some days.

Suggest you connect with the Cairns Gamefishing or Yorkeys Gamefishing club boys as they have regular monthly meetings, comps etc and get the low down from them.

Up that way, find the slimies and yakkas and the sails and small billies will be close by. Skip rigged gars work really well esecially if on a slow troll covering ground

Yorkeys Knob Sports Fishing Club - YKSFC - is based at Half Moon Bay Marina at Yorkeys Knob, Cairns, Australia. They hold regular tournaments and competitions, as well as information nights and fishing talks to educate new and old anglers about different techniques and equipment, sustainable fishing through practicing catch & release and tag & release.

The club takes an active approach towards junior anglers, and membership structure encourages family memberships. For the 2008/2009 season, the club counts 50+ boats big and small as members, with a very active tournament schedule throughout the year.

For enquiries, including membership enquiries, call Stuart on 07 4055 7711 at Half Moon Bay Marina.

    Good luck

There is a good DVD by Jarad "Dingo" Boshammer and produced/directed/filmed by John Hanke. Chase that one up. Russ might even have a copy in the shop.

    Thanks guys,
I was thinking about joining Yorkeys Club for the 2 years that I was in Cairns prior to moving up here. I wish I did now

I will go and ask Russ to order it in if he does not have it Smithy!
