    trevally species ID

    caught this little fellow around shag rock off Straddie. Looks like a yakka on steroids, but deeper body and longer nose. Was around 35cm long. Trevally of some kind?

    That's it................or silver trev.

    We used to get heaps off the Goldy years back, they make great livies.
    Hardy, tough buggers, stay alive all day.

    Yeah, silver trevally. However, come across to Perth and they will tell you that it is a skippy ( skipjack ) !
