Well back in god's own country and luvin it ... got back this morning headin to straddie saturday... whats on the chew. staying at amity point thinking of heading to beach and jumpin pin chasin tailor and salmon thought i'd start with blue bait and blue poppers....... what do you reckon i should try. will also pump yabbies... will be mixing it up using fresh bait ... plastics and lures any recommendations.

i must be totally oblivious to what goes on at straddie, i never new that you can get salmon in this part of queensland....? can you?

I went out last week to Venus bay in Vic near wilsons prom, chasing the salmon ...salmon to 1.5 kg using bluebait and blue poppers ... interestingly enough most bites were on the blue poppers.

Have come back to qld and hoping to catch a feed at straddie

yer thats in victoria, what im saying is i dont know if you can get them on straddie, im not doubting your rig and technique. welcome back to qld and good luck on the weekend though

fishd straddie two weeks ago and got good tailor infront of camp site 10 just on the reliable pilly.

no i was camping at campsite 10 on main beach which is about 15kms south of the causeway that runs across from dunwich, unfortunately you do need 4wd to access it

back from Straddie Caught Bream and Tailor at Jumpinpin, Bream at Amity

Lost 2 Fish to the dolphins 1 at amity 1 at jumpinpin

Soft plastics at Straddie - Landbased ...Zero
Yabbies, prawns and pillys 80+ for the week
Had great weather,relaxing fishing and a good feed

Havn't seen one yet and hope i never do up here. That is one plague qld can do without.
