    Darkside,

Off subject, but having a laugh bout your video piracy joke.

Would you steal a handbag, well no, but i wouldn't mind a burnt copy to give the Mrs for her birthday!!

Can't help laughing everytime i hear that line, especially the "Would you steal a car" line. Never, but a copy for free would be just sweet!!

Lost a 12 foot tinny from the huts at the pin many years ago, woke up the next morning and it was gone, it was not mine and I was not the one to forget to put the anchor out thankfully, it was at first considered stolen but was found a few days later way out at sea with a little water in the bottom, the bar was pumping very well a the time, crazy that it made it across.

    Huts still there??

    Re: Who lost their tinny?

I dont understand the relevance of your post in reply to mine Pete. I was offering an observation, then saying I would talk to the person who towed it back! Nothing to do with any radio talk whatsoever. I happened to drive past the Cosatguard at redcliffe and saw the boat tied up there, it was on the inside of the finger that the cat is tied up to. It looked like a glass boat to me....one of those whaler types of open boats, painted white on the outside and white on the inside.
I best not relay my conversation with Shane last night as that may be taken out of context as well.

    Re: Who lost their tinny?

    Hi Greg,

Please - no offence was intended... I was just trying to make the point to the wider audience (not you as an individual) that the detail content of some of the other messages regarding the radio conversations on channel 21 that were heard were well above the premissable level in accordance with the station class licence.
This issue is discussed in the radio course - what is said on the radio stays on the radio and not repeated elsewhere. Maybe I'm just pushing the theory too much!!

    Apologies again

    Re: Who lost their tinny?

Sorry Pete, maybe just getting a little sensitive these days to people having a go at others on this site over trivialities, or misconcieved indiscretions. As you know I have done the the course with you at redcliffe, and am totally and unconditionally supportive of the efforts of ALL volounteers at All Coastguard/VMR/VCP orgs throughout the country. I also get totally peeved at the indescriminate and innapropriate use of the radio frequencies by inconsiderate morons. Which is why i reacted the way I did, as i thought you may be having a go at me for some infraction of SOP. All good....no offence taken. Shane did say it was a glass boat though.....and it was an absolute b%tch to tow back due to the large swells at the time. And up til 10pm on tuesday night still hadnt had a call from the owners thanking him for towing it back. I hope they have contacted him since. He cut his charter short to do it.

    Greg
