Fraser in August

Hi all,

Being the ever reliable workhorse that I am the good boss has decided that 6 weeks holiday is in order for me during August/ September so as you can imagine some fishing is planned. One of the trips planned is to the northern end of Fraser, an area I have never fished before. Any trips will have to depart from Bundy or Hervey Bay as I dont have an extended drawbar and I dont think the BT-50 will get the big girl up the beach. Is anyone interested in joining me at Fraser?? Dates will remain flexible and the plan is to get a three or four day weather window and fish it hard. 1770 is also on the cards, and if the budget stretches that far Bowen for the comp 19-20 September.

Oh yeah I should elaborate, I am not looking for crew, more interested in another boat for safety and some extra company.

I will however be after crew for local offshore trips during my hols, I will let yas know when I am going.

Me and dad are keen to explore the area around the breaksea. Havent been before. Would like to head there with some other boats. Keep me posted.

Going to do a reecce mission, 24-25 July or 31 Jul- 01 Aug. May move it a day or two either side if necessary, whether it be off DI top of Fraser will be dependent on weather. Bloody hard to pick it considering it is supposed to be blowing today and it under 10 knots off the Cape from the west at the moment.... typical. Plan is to leave early on the day of departure, overnight on the boat, fish the next morning and be home the following evening.
