I got the mag Dave ! sweet spread. I have to say though having seen your boat im surprised at some of the comments from the TB team they have tested the 233 before yet they are conserned about the bow lift????
Just seems strange i would have thought your boat sits lower than most 233's due to not having a pod and being fitted with the almighty trim tabs this wouldnt be an issue. besides its better to have a boat that can lift the nose at will rather than one that is cemented to the water just incase you need it.
yeah i agree ,i think he made that comment because when he first drove it he was only doing 20 mph,and with 500lt of fuel and 4 adults on board it was dragging her ass, pick the speed up and she levels out,i prefer to run her bow high ,i like all my boats to run like that ,and i can quickly drop the bow with the tabs at any time.they didnt really use the tabs during the test .the 233 takes a bit of time to get used too,and at the back of the wide bay bar it was a bit of a washing machine that day with swell against tide etc, they should have the video up on thier site soon ,hopefully it will have the footage of me driving it .
sweet sounds cool
I can't believe you had them turning out any respect I had for you is completely lost
As for the Trailer Boat Magazine article, great pics and a good honest review. Lots of accolades as you would expect for rough water performance, lay out and quality of fit-up.
The fact that you got 6 pages and the cover, and without any advertising or sponsorship deals, says it all in my opinion.
Good on you Dave I look forward to the vid when available.
U don't happen to no julien by any chance has told me about an awesome rig like this a while ago
yeah mate i had him work on my dash and side pocket project ,and a few other bits and pieces lol
actually spiro i was going to run them turning out straight up ,and stav in darwin did it on his and had handling issues ,which later on turned out to be tow in related , and my ran perfect straight up so i didnt want to touch it to be honest ,i just wanted to use it,that and i couldnt be bothered pulling the gear boxes off ,but im so kicking my self now lol ,il re run the 21p this weekend and go from there ,they may need a little work but i think il get back to 50 knts with a full load ,which will make me happy
I've finally read very word of this post up until this point........and loved every minute (and glass of red wine) of it. Great passion, but not beyond function. I don't believe anyone who did not love boats could achieve this.
As I type this I remain lost for words how many times can you say quality, attention to detail and awesome.....lots!
Thank you for taking on this project and doing such a great job of it.
Ed

What could go wrong.......................
Awesome to see your pride and joy like that.
A picture tells a thousand words and there's thousands of pics in that video. Your boat is truely an AWESOME fishing machine and something you should be enormously proud of.
Pity the sound was out of sync for me ? ?
Hey OPTI. Where do you store the batteries because I see you have tackle boxes in the transome hatches.
Darren.
cheers guys, darren i have the two engine batteries in the cabin under the step, and the house battery in the port transom corner.it doesnt show the cabin properly in the video as the bed infill boards are in ,when they are out it drops into the cabin floor, there is a step into the cabin which covers the batteries.
