T/ville, Airlie & Mackay trip tips

Hi All,

I'm heading up to Townsville, Airlie Beach & Mackay this week for work. Will take SP gear with me to fill in the evenings. Can any of our locals from up that way give me some tips on where the (easy access) spots to have a flick might be in these locations. Only have 1 night in each town, and will be purely land based.

you would need to be around spots with good light, the breakwall facing the harbour has plenty of light. or if you get fishing before the suns goes down there is the rockpool or any other spot along the strand.
things are getting cold up here in the last few days so the barra & jacks will be off, maybe target trevs late arvo even chance of cod will be on the cards.

Dont really know the areas, but I guess I will work it out. The breakwall facing the harbour cant be too hard to find!!

find the entertainment center & it runs out past that. the rockpool is at 1 end & the harbour wall is at the other end of the strand (casino, public boat ramp) & you are in the right area.
