    Pine River Flathead

    Hi All

A mate wanted me to take him out fishing today to teach him how to use plastics, this was pretty hard as i'm only Learning myself - Thanks Again to Chief !!!

The wind was pretty strong but managed a 43cm flatty on my second cast, My mate could not believe it as he always uses pillys. Not long after he hooked up on a descent size flatty about 60cm, while i was cursing him i got smacked, He asked me for the net but i couldn't help him as my hands were full, To cut along story short, he's upset with me as he dropped it right at the boat. Mine went 55cm ( he he) sorry mate....

He got 2 in the boat 1x 41cm and 1x 50cm so a great effort first time... we headed home with a feed. Pretty happpy with that as we were only targeting flathead. Missed a heap and threw 3 back under size...

    Thanks Tom

He thinks it was just good luck and still wants to try bait in the same area. I'm pretty confident I'll still come up trumps...

Looks like a pretty good session mate, I think it only takes someone to make you feel confident with plastics and then it just keeps progressing from there. You;ve got it happening now. Cheers

    Good effort mate.

Plastics fishing is all about learning the feel.
Once you have managed to master the movement you have know what to feel for.
It is strange, or at least I think that it was at first. Knowing the difference between the bottom and a bite is a bit daunting at first.

Once you have this under control, it all comes naturally with practice.

    Well Done.

    Tight Lines.

Its like anything i guess - the more you do it the better you get. I'm happy to keep trying.
