    Old tld30 2 speeds

    Gday All,
Just wondering how old peoples tld 30 2 speeds were.I have no. 1741 (purchased very early 90s) just wondering if any earlier serial numbers were still alive out there.
Will be interesting to see how many 18 odd year old tlds are still being used.Quite a few i would think.
    Cheers

    Re: Old tld30 2 speeds

This tld 30 has a silver alloy plate over the centre bit. I t has tld30 2 speed then 2 lines, in between the lines it has serial no 04805. I think it may be even earlier than that as it was the first game real I bought from a now defunct brisbane city tackle. I put it at late eighties early nineties.

Maybe you should check the timelines as well because it would put yours way before mine.

I also found in my little treasure chest an immaculant triton tld 25 which I bought in the box from a garage sale many years ago. I have spooled it up, but have not put it on a rod.

Pretty sure mines from the first production run in 1990,when they replaced the old Beastmaster 2 speeds. But may be wrong.Good to see some oldies still kicking around.

    Re: Old tld30 2 speeds

I have a TLD 20 purchased from Harvey at Brisbane City Tackle as well.
I would visit the shop every week, always had a string of layby's !!!
My reel dates back to the very early 90's and is still in use. Very little maintenance and only replaced a bearing or two in that time. Were made in Japan back then and cost twice as much as they do today !!!

    Cheers
