    I did this excercise and went outside with my hand held GPS and marked my drive way. Then had a look at my driveway on google earth, converted my way point from deg decimal deg to googles deg.min, and found the google curser to be almost spot on. If this is what is wrong in your case just use the online converters available. Mal.
