I agree Dicko, Getting into a routine is good and works but gentle reminders are handy in case you get interrupted. Even if it is only to glance at it before you leave, know what I mean. Thanks for all the tips and hints, as I said I would rather read about things others have left at home and not about what I left behind.
Oh about the beer, sorry don't take any on board and I don't really drink much at all............ don't like to see the two mix on the water

Funny you mention that Countbaysea, a month ago there was a guy who had just launched his boat and you guessed it he couldn't turn the steering wheel at all. I thought that would be fairly noticeable before you left home? Comes back to a simple check I guess eh
