    Question Batteries

While I understand that a battery is necessary to run onboard applications: lights, sounder, aerators, radio/stereo etc could someone please explain the arrangement / configuration for installation, charging and maintenance.
If I was to purchase a tinnie and needed to get it organised what would I need, say for a sounder, nav /anchor lights, deck light, charging set-up.
Could somebody give me a bit of a clue.
    Cheers WoW

plenty of variables there, like does your motor have electric start/charging capabilities? from there it is quite simple, battery needs to be mounted securely and safely, wiring needs to be correctly done and fused and so on.

    Re: Batteries

I use 2 batteries in my tinnie. one deep cycle for nav lights, deck light, live tank pump and sounder and another deep cycle for the leccy motor. For the lights ect, I run a fuse between battery and switch board and a fuse from battery to sounder. I have a charger for each battery (different sizes) to keep them charged.
