so where were you...lol

Nice Cod mate, I bet he got your heart racing when he hit.
Now that you're converted your wallet will be short every time you need that extra money.. Keep an eye out, you'll start spending a lot of cash on plastics!
Thanks Tom
Thanks fellas - yeah he hit hard and my heart was racing. Rouse Channel. I have been mucking around with plastics for about 12 months here and there and it relieved me of some hard earned a while ago! Trouble is that until today I hadnt used them that much and only caught a 45cm flattie on one (easiest thing to catch on them!)...today was a revelation to me. They really do work well when fished properly and you get the bonus of not having to go a get bait, and you dont get pickers (the catches were mostly on unsented plastics) and of course you can cast and then have a sambo without washing your hands....
Cheers
very nice cod. Perserverance with any type of fishing pays dividends. Be it placcies, HB's, or even bait. Keep an open mind...if one method aint workin, try another. If one method is working...stick to it.
Greg
Very nice cod, congrats on that , cheers
Well done. One day you will hook up a big snap and then you will be hooked well and trulely. Thats a good sized cod to. Cheers
Thats a nice Cod. They can be very difficult customers if there is any structure nearby. It makes the transition to plastics a lot easier if you go with someone who has worked out the system and the guys from Fishead would be top of the class in that reguard

Thanks fellas. Yeah they know their stuff thats for sure. The go some nice gear with GLoomis rods and Daiwa reels. I liked the fact that the same gear I used to get the cod and squire I backed up with to chase northern bluefin tuna by casting. Makes it all easy.
I fried him up in batter for the kids last nice with home made chips...very nice.
Cheers
Congrats, makes it all worth while perservering and learning plastics doesn't it!
