I have a 20 with 50lb on it but wanted something smaller and lighter. Looked at the 16 but got the 12 as it had the same retrieve rate as 16 and same drag max. Has a little less line capacity which was not an issue and is a little smaller and a little lighter. A very comfortable setup.
The 10 is a lot lighter but has only about half the capacity and half the max drag. Strangely the 10 has a higher retrieve rate thanks to a 6:1 ratio.

PS I use 30lb on the 12 on a 10-15 kg penn sports.

I have got a Tyrnos 16 with 50 pound suffix braid mounted on a Gary Howard GForce 15 - 24kg rod. Excellent setup for waters up to 150 ft. Reel handles as much pressure I can put on it without using a harness or breaking the line.

    hey guys,

with the Tyrnos 12, 16, 20. how many mtrs of 30, 50 pound braid are you getting on the spool.

i've looked on the shimano website, but as far as i know they still work off mono and not P.E. size for there line measurements.
