I need to put name and rego numbers on an inflatable, what do I use for this and where would I get them from? Thanks.

Is it permanently inflated or usually flat?

you need to talk to someone who sells them, it usually requires a special rubberised paint, some of the specialised screenprinting inks will also do the job .. Having said that an ordinary old enamel used to stay on pretty well for a while & just need the occasional touch-up.

it'll stay pumped up. It's a tender, just reading the regs it looks like i'll be able to get away with putting the letters on the ply transom

Possibly sticky back sail cloth. Talk to a sail maker. They have precut numbers that might be fine. We have used it in the past and it worked fine on a zodiac tender.

Hey Mr Dr...how would that vinyl that they use on the curtainers or banners be??

It's supposed to flex a lot and good quality.

Have not personally tried it, but, being how it is designed to flex & the glue sets stronger the longer it's on, it would probably work.. depending on what the actual compound is on the hull, some of them appear to have some kind of a silicon content & we all know nothing likes to stick to silicon. Having said all that, it's been a few years since i did one, so the materials they use could have changed..

    see, no help at all....

    G'day

Is the inflatable PVC or hypalon? Best off throwing it on the transom, it will be the easiest way if the regulations allow.

It's not hypalon, the manufacturer's website says it's made of something called duratex but I'm not sure what that is. I think I'll just use the transom.
