Had a good day on the Maroochy River system today after a launch on Bradman we were down the lower reaches first where first cast we bagged a Bream straight up, we then proceeded to catch some more Bream and Juvenille Flathead.
After a slow down we pushed up to the upper reaches which were stll pretty shut down with all the fresh, we moved back around the middle reaches and just as the tide tuned we got the hot bite we wanted. We bagged 3 Trevally,6 Bream, 4 Flathead and two school Jew.
We then shifted up petrie creek for the last hour before dusk, 2nd cast with the Stella 1000 with the 4lb Fireline and 4lb leader and the little 3 inch Minnow got slammed with the drag screaming on the Stella and after a few good runs and a fight all the way to the boat....a nice 45cm Mangrove Jack!
Tight Lines to you all Brian from anglers Advantage.
