Hervey bay Dreams

Gday guys and girls. Just putting up a quick post to see if anyone can help me with my upcoming fishing trip.
Destination: Hervey Bay
Date: 3,4,5th of july
Chasing: Pelagics and Reef fish
I have a 4.1m seajay with a forty yammy on her and all the gear so anywhere round this area shouldn be a problem to get to. I just need some gps marks for bait grounds and a few fishing spots to get me started, and a bit of helpful advice to get me on my way. If anyone could help me out here please do. Will be fishing mainly with plastics and livies depending on if i can find the live bait grounds.

Hi Josh
Spent a little time up there earlier inthe year. You will find a chart at Tackle world in hervey which covers the wrecks alongside big woody island. There is also a web site about hervey bay fishing -much like this one. just put in hervey bay fishing and you will come up with info.
Alternately you could travel up to Toogoom or Burrum heads for abit of fishing. Attached photos of toogoom for you. Looking out into the wide blue yonder.
Was great up there and the boys at tackle world were great with their advice also. pay them a visit and i am sure they will help you out.

Bait grounds --- end of peir
i think it is still closed for landbased so just motor up near it with a bait jig

can anyone confirm that it is still closed to public?

End of the pier is still closed, but it is easy to jig baitfish from.
