    Squid Or Cuttly



    Whats ya preference.. How many have tried cuttle fish, I wouldn't of dreamed id like it until it was cooked up, tender as, and served with a lush salad..Nice and sweet tasting too..It might be an ugly critter but it sure taste good..








    Theres Nothing like a good days fishing.

    I think you might want the cooking section.......

    The funniest thing that I have heard of was the bloke who went out off Lennox Head to christen his brand new boat.........

    what did he catch that day........a Giant Cuttle....story I was told said it was in the 20 odd kg range................but may not have been quite that big

    What did skipper do........gaffed it and pulled it on board.....................

    What did the cuttle do..................

    I laughed my hole out when I was told......

    He has a permanent reminder to never do it again

    Mate was telling me yesterday he prefered cuttlefish to squid . Always just used them for bait the cuttle fish will give them a go

    Cuttlefish is more tender with a better texture. Cut it into strips and treat likr Calamari. Its top stuff

    I absolutely prefer cuttlefish over squid, a little more forgiving in the cooking process, sweeter meat and generally more meat per creature.
