    cape moreton saturday

Hit the cape at first light with king Red on board for an all plastic affair in the shallows of moreton. Once we tracked down some fish it turned out to be a good little session getting 5 snapper to 3kg and being bricked by the spangles. Eventually king red untangled one out of the reef and it went 5kg on the scales, thereby redeeming himself as he only had one small snapper on the board. The bite slowed down and the westerly kicked in a bit as the tide turned so we shot back to the ramp.

There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges

    Yes Brett.
    Looks like a great season.

Out that way the dawn bite just hasn't happened last few trips it all seems to go off at the change of the tide. Yesterday about 8 - 8:30am.
