What Size Wire What Type

Was wiring up my sounder this arvo and ran 3 mm \10amp wire but it got super hot really quick so pulled it out ended up sticking 25 amp "'ROPE"' that I had in the shed would of thought that the 3 mm was enough mind you it was copper not tinned. Is that what I need

If it got that hot then you stuffed something up. That wire should be fine. Any heats suggests that you have a short circuit somewhere, positive wire is conencted to ground wire somewhere along the line.

thanks finga im at caboolture in line switch cocked up shouldnt try and do things in the dark but was mad keen to get out there old enough to know better
