    The Mud Gods hate me

Another trip to Mud..I know..I said I was not going there again but the urge hit.
Left Whyte Island at about 4am..easy trip to Mud then the fog set in..like sitting in a bowl of soup. After the fog lifted at about 9am the slight breeze dropped off and a total glass out.
    Fishing..2 lousy grinners.

I took Swabio (Richard) along. Richard is new to Brisbane and had never been in the Bay before nor seen a grinner..so I solved that for him.
Richard is great company and I would recommend that if anyone is looking for a fishing companion at any time to contact him...thanks a lot Richard.

I was out there amongst the fog also and with very mediocre results also on the fishing front. I must have caught two dozen grinners though - and there were sure some whoppers amongst them. Really big grinners.

Anyway, as said, I just had one fish to show the fisheries inspectors when they visited. Just a small Tuskie.

Took home a satisfactory feed of crabs though...

I was at Mud for a short while and managed a feed. A 38cm squire, a nice 43cm Tuskie, and a flounder. My mother always warned me about chatting to strangers too. Back at the ramp I said a friendly hello to a man who was parked behind me and about to retrieve his boat. He noticed the Ausfish signs on my boat and asked who I was. Imagine my surprise to have finally met the infamous Charleville. Nice to meet you and yes you did manage a nice feed of sandcrabs there. Well done. I am having fresh fillets for dinner but wouldn't mind some crab as well.

Ah Ha!, it cant be me..... he he ... I wasnt there and nothing but grinners?

Sounds a typical WWF expedition, lots of laughs, a good time on the water and no fish.

So no toad and monster catfish?

pssstttt Mike...on the Bay and catching 2 grinners is far better then running around the office grinning and wondering how to get everything done.

WWF rides again...I reckon I would almost have a record of most number of posts in fishing reports and no reports of fish caught..BUT..it is all about enjoying yourself.

Greg, I'm beginning to suspect that you really just don't like cleaning and filleting fish...
