Northstar 84

Hi,
Anybody with a Northstar 84 who has had problems getting the unit to load up.
Mine starts, shows Northstar on the screen, goes "Beep" screen goes blank, and starts all over again. Will not shut down using the control button.
Is this a thing where the unit needs to be re-booted somehow.
The unit is new, has worked for about four hours.
Warrenty does not cover investigation on site, removal or replacement, freight , and everything is at the owners risk, so I am looking for a simple solution.

I have a Navman 8084.....pre northstar model. I had the same problem as you, once. From memory I held down the menu button while I turned the unit on, it brought up a menu screen and on the menu it gave you an option to continue the boot up, from memory. I have had the unit now for a few years with no other problems.

I use a water blaster to clean inside and outside of the boat after use and had no probs with moisture etc. So far it has been a good unit.

Try my solution, but I will try to find out and detail what I did ages ago when I had the problem. Give me a day or two.
