hi
google earth might help you out
cheers

There is another map available from map places which I have chased up but it has no more detail than the Beacon to Beacon version. I havent been able to find a high detail map anywhere. If you stick to the channel markers you will be fine, but keep an eye on your sounder as there is a lot of shallow water and big bars.
Cheers

google earth mate always a pleasure to use
Agree with the others. Google maps along with nav markers. It won't give you depths, but you can read current flows and expand on that.
Hi Tubes,
I have a double sided poster size map of the passage.
It's also skinned in plastic so water won't destroy it.
I acquired it from a tackle shop many years ago & don't know if there's a more up to date one.
I think those maps are still sold so it's worth asking a number of tackle shop.
I'll dig mine up and see what details are on it as to who made it.
Don't know where you're located but you might try the tackle shop at Carseldine.

Luc, That double sided map is based on aerial photographs??
Many years ago i had two of these maps one succeeding the other in print dates. Tried sourcing the latest version of it about 3 years ago and they are no longer produced.
Jack.
Hi Jack,
I think we're talking about the same map.
This link to the national library http://catalogue.nla.gov.au/Record/193275 may be the map in question with the last revision dated April 1974.

I've found my chart and it looks like it's definitely the one in the link of my previous post.
Moreton Bay series - Chart 4, Ninth Edition Revised January 1994.
It may be out of date but I still have it in the tinny when I fish the passage.
If you're really keen to have a copy, one of the copy/printing places may be able to make a copy & laminate it. Size approx 70 by 96 cms (28 by 38 inches).

most of the bait n tackle shops on the island have an excellent map of the passage,,,,,, i actually sacraficed one and cut it to fit the inner side of the ""wing"" on my tinny,,,,,, being plastic coated allows for a permanent marker to highlite some of the spot ""x's"" as well
from memory,,,,,, $25
