last wed moning ian [big e] and myself crossed noosa bar at daybreak
conditions were great and sat on 4ooo rpm most of the way
had a go on the shelf with only a few perlies coming on board
then decided to go another 30k in closer
fish were slow but the quality was great
crossed the bar thursday morning at 10am after a 2hr drive home

Awesome reds mate, i really need to find some ground where I can consistently catch them, have been catching the odd one lately but not in any numbers. Well done, looks like you had a good trip with awesome conditions, thanks for the report.

top catch pete, do you carry extra ice in a seperate ice
box to ice down as you go or just using a slurry to keep cool?

Some great fish there Pete especially those reds . Are they Rosy Jobfish in one of the shots? We used to get tons (almost 800lb one trip) off South Passage in the late 70's but I have not seen one for years . Thats probably why they are scarce now
