Went for a fish in the middle reaches of the Brissie. Had a jewfish on my mind and I finally was rewarded. This one sucumbed to a live prawn. Measured 66cm. Ahh I have finally got the monkey off the back having only caught baby ones before. Wished it was legal size but I think its still good enough to brag about!! Good fight although threadies fight alot harder.
Top fish mate, it's always great to land the fish you were targeting. Thanks for the report as well.

Since 06 you do deserve it for sure and your right mate , fighting wise the threadie would win . Jewies pack it in pretty quick. The jewies head shakes tho are pretty cool
Nice fish. I believe they are very good on the chew too especially that size. I wouldn't know because I have never targeted Jew before and my brother has caught a couple of monsters and I somehow missed a sample fillet.Well done.

Wen I was fishing for them back in the day, thre wasn't a real lot around we used 2 chase them every nite 7 days a week, but once u crack that first one ur set!!!
