Anyone use this braid

Gents,

I'm looking for some heavy duty braid to replace the wire on my cannon downrigger andthen use the remainder to set up a deep deep water fishing outfit for hunting in the 300m+ range.

Thinking this might cut the mustard

I'm using 150 lb Platil Millenium. A bit dearer than some of the eBay braids but I was sick of losing bombs and clips and got rid of the wire and went for a decent quality heavy braid.Works a traet and zero corrosiuon problems, and not having to replace wire all the time is bonus.
That should do fine.

I might be a little concerned if you snag the bomb with 250lb line. Cabelas put out a 135lb downrigger line thats pretty cheap

Hadn't thought about sinking the tinny - with a snag. Any in Aus rather than US.
