    Recommended Battery Specs \ Brand

I want to select a suitable battery for my Haines Hunter with 1989 110HP Johnson 2 stroke outboard.

    My applications :
    Dual battery setup
    Deep Cycle Charge

    I want max CCA.

Can you recommend a suitable battery for me please?

one of my century 600 bit the dust so I
just got a Forbes battery "Allrounder ..50..", wired up sounder+chart plotter+ VHF
and has 650 CCA for emergency start.
other battery is a Century 600 for starting & running lights+bilge+masthead+compas lights.
    engine 90 merc.

    Thats a great idea Snapp.

I think I'll head down that route as well.

Just Curious - Why did you choose the 650CCA for accessories + emergency start?

Should I be using a higher CCA battery for my 110HP?

The "allrounder" is a dual purpose one, if you believe the bulsh.
It has deep cycle capabilities & starting power.
it has 80ah , which is a bit& still heaps off CCA.
I may be wrong but for a 110hp should be heaps.

+I was not going to pay $$$$ for a real deep cycle battery,
if this goes OK when the other batt craps itself I will buy another one of these.

    THnaks Snapp.

I did not see the AH measure for these batteries on that link you had posted.

Also, what sort of terminal is "TS"?
