Cowan Artificial

Hey all

Ive heard around the place thats theres in artificial reef called cowan artificial, I dont know if its true, if it is does anybody have the marks? of course im not after any spot x's.

Do you mean the curtain artificial? The curtain is well marked on most maps of the bay. There are however little patches/ledges of coffee rock reef and the odd wreck all the way down along moreton and the shipping channels, Some of these spots can really fire as they are not heavily fished, Unfortunately not too many fisherman are likely part with there gps marks as they have taken a long time of searching and fishing to acquire.

Thanks bay fisher but I head somewhere a while ago that there was a cowan arti, I may have my wires crossed, I thought i would ask 2 c if anyone else has heard of it!

The Curtin Arti is just north of Cowan Cowan Pt. It used to be known as the Cowan Arti by many before the Curtin name got around

There are two small boats that are sunk directly off cowan many many years ago, Not part of the Curtin Artificial and not widely known about. Most people that do have the marks think they are coffee rock reef and should continue to believe that seeing the boats are all but completely broken up these days.

I wouldn't bother fishing the Curtain its that over fished and the worth while fish are few and far between. Also get w@nkers that know SFA ripping through the middle of all the boats because a school of mac have come through.
