    Help for mate.

    Greetings all!

Not a freshwater man myself (apart from many years fishing for pilchard sized fish and carp in the
    UK).

A mate wants to go to Monduran in the long holiday.

What is the cheapest overhead lure combo (and line?) that he can get away with, without being smoked?

    Any help appreciated!

From a man who once fished with 0.5kg line and size 22 hooks!

    Regards, Rob.

    Cool Re: Help for mate.

    Rob,

Search Monduran or Barra mate you will be inundated with information.

You want at least 30lb braid and 50lb leader and if he is a newby probably heavier.

Check out the Barra Havock web site. John and Jackie have the shop at Gin Gin (Monduran) they currently have a sale on and will give you the right drum.

    What does he have now?
