great stuff mate, time on the water with the kids is time well spent.
My son has spent the past month or so watching fishing videos and picking up the tips from the various television shows. I took him up to Peak Island just north of Rockhampton on Saturday and we had a ball catching various range of reefies, macks and small trevs.
Check out the unedited video that we took of him as he got onto some bludger trevs...
Makes me really happy that i purchased the boat, lifetime memories, this is living!
great stuff mate, time on the water with the kids is time well spent.
Mate if he hasnt fished much before then he sure is a fast learner .... He looks like a pro.
Just wait till he wants to start buying all the gear...$$$$ !! (it has to be better than other 13 yr old kids, sitting on their asses waiting for a handout)
Keep enjoying the moments !!

the kids a natural. To keep yakking in an intelligent way whilst bringing in a fish that was giving him some curry was a credit to his upbringing, and the encouragement he recieves. Well done Lad and Dad.
Looking forward to many more reports, with some upgrades.......might be the next Starlo or Buschy in the making.
Cheers
Greg

Gold. Just like my young bloke. Never shuts up. Great commentary though and good rod work. Very calm and collected. One bonus with a bloke of that age addicted to fishing is that is always easier to get a leave pass when there are 2 of you winging!
that was great!!!...its good to see the young fella so enthusiastic!!!... i cant wait for our kids to be more interested in CATCHING fish...rather than bait bothering ...good on you Dad for encouraging this...its good to see

Awesome mate, it's fantastic to see more youngins getting into fishing instead of computer games or vandalism. I can't wait until my kids are old enough to really get into it.
Great to see!
My little bloke is 8 & I'm hard pressed getting out of the house without him. Infact I can only think of 1 trip in the last 12 months & that was because he was grounded.
Kids could be addicted at that age to a lot of worse things than fishing!
Good on him.
