Nice one
thought you dropped off the planet because your reports were so scarce
good to see you killing fish again
Hi all,
Haven't reported in quite a well but I've been busy enough. I've attached a few pics. March and April saw me chasing barra and fingermark mostly with some reports and pics posted by Ron and others. Took the neighbour across to the Cape for a quality 'Mark a month ago:
In between, managed to take the boys out and I've attached a great shot with the younger one holding up his first bream caught a couple of weeks ago just above Rooney's on the Ross. He looks pretty stoked.
On Wednesday last week I took a young guy I used to coach, out to the Cape on an absolutely A1 day. He'd just returned from a year bumming it in Italy (ya can tell by the hat) to catch up on some of mum's cooking before heading back to Brissie. He needs it, the food that is since he's somewhere around the 6'10" mark.
Anyway, the fish turned it on for us with a 10kilo spaniard coming overboard pinned to a high speed jig and 2 twin trout @ around 4 kilo and a nice gold spot cod on livies. That'd have to rival Curmudgeon and my trip last year for 4 fingermark on the same mark. Top trip.
Last night took my old skipper out to see if I could emulate Ron's successes from Saturday but despite the shows on the sounder, we weren't able to come up with the goods. Jigged up some livies and and anchored up just as it got dark. It was piscatorially very quiet but the 87cm 'Mark we came home with kinda made up for it (no pics - sorry).
Cheers all
Mozza

Well done Mozza. there's some very nice fish amongst that lot. I particularly like the photo of the Coral Trout, you did a good job to capture those colours.

Thanks Fellas
Yep Kev, I've been a bit slack. Some will be posted off to the F&B if I can get off my butt and put some doco together.
Mark, the colours came out really good - a recent trip to Darwin, fishing with a mate who writes for the Aussie fishing rag, showed me the difference between taking a quick mugshot and maybe taking an extra minute to get the light right etc.

Ron why go catching mice when you can go hunting in elephant country?
I'll be twisting the boys arms - see if I can get them interested in a creek crabbing/fishing trip.
