North Straddie - Open Water Side

Will be heading to North Straddie tomorrow (Tuesday 26/05), Point Lookout, to do some repair work for one of the shops. Will have 4 hours down time waiting for the return ferry at 6:00pm. Will have my 4WD so can go anywhere, will be taking 13'.6 Surf Rod, 10' Spinning Rod & Light Plastics Rod.

Never been there before so can any one advise some good spots to check out and target species?

    Thanks in advance

    Mate

Usually Id say go to main beach and fish the holes down to the causeway then head to Dunwich for the barge. Bream whiting and dart.

BUT...I dont think there would be much beach left at the moment.

You could try Flinders for the same species and maybe some tailor after 4pm or so. Same thing though. Depends on how much beach is there and if their are any gutters.

Could always throw a line off the rocks at Point Lookout. Or the rocks and jetty at Amity.

    Rod.
My dictionary defines green as ‘unripe, immature, undeveloped'. Perfect description.

Most political parties are seen as interested in what the voters think, the Greens are seen as thinking the community should be interested in what they think.

Thanks for the advice Rod & Steve, came home with 3 Tailor, 1 Bream and 1 Trevally all caught from Amity. Should have been 4 Tailor and 2 Trevally but you can't talk about the ones that got away especially when I thought they were the biggest of them all
