i do have a pic of that fish somewhere though i was 13 when i caught it i spose you can say my grandad helped he hooked it, hes got the photo in an album somewhere 29lb caught at mud, though i dont think i really want to go there that might ruffle to many feathers

Jack, have you tired emailing the Aust. Museum, fisheries dept? They've helped me out on several ID's, just take a couple of high resolution shots, from front, rear, and both flanks of the fish, and ask them to ID it for you. It might take a couple of days, but they are about as accurate as you can get without giving them a dead specimen.
