This is how I do it and I land a few.
Tie 5m of 60 to 100lb leader directly to your main line (braid), then add a clip swivel, then tie 1.5m of 80lb leader to your swivel. At the end of the leader tie a 7/0, 8/0, 9/0 or 10/0 live bait hook with a Uni knot. Could be a Gamakatsu or Mustad live bait hook. Size will depend on the size of the bait. Then hang a snapper lead (sinker) from the snap swivel. I usually put cable ties on my snapper leads to make them easy to clip onto the snap swivel. The weight will depend on the current and depth you want to fish. Hook the live bait in the soft tissue in front of the eyes. Once you drop the bait down the snapper lead will suspend the bait at the depth you want it and he will just swim around until he gets smashed!!!!! Set your drag quite lightly so the snapper or kingy have a chew for a few seconds then set your hooks and fight. Very exciting way to fish.
Cheers
