Thread: Green in the morning? Yea or Nay?

Green in the morning? Yea or Nay?

SeaBreeze is forecasting 5/10kts up until about lunch time.

Who thinks it's nuts to head out to Green in the morning in a 4.2?

News forecast a 2m swell in the 'bay'. Any guess as to what that might be around Green?

    G'day

I was going to do mud this morning in my 3.7, wind wouldn't have worried me. The bloody rain moved in around 330am.... I would have been on water at 4 so cancelled it.

The rain is what brought the spikes in wind strength you now see in the observations.

    Yep.....
Said to myself all night "I don't care if it's raining, I'm going fishing". Alarm went off, I heard the rain, I turned the alarm off and went back to sleep.

I was gonna head to Peel in my 4m but the wind and rain forced me to cancel. Too uncomfortable around Peel with any breeze above 15 knts - then add in the rain.....

Forecast has changed BTW - strong wind warning current for Moreton Bay

Yep, I actually half typed a reply starting at 3.57am and clicked "submit" about 4.03am to get the window saying something like Database is unavailable or backup being done or something like that... I WAS fueled up and ready to go which normally sees me outa here by 4.30am, but cancelled the trip and crawled back into bed instead. By 10am I was convinced I made the right decision judging by the wind that had already sprung up.

Thinking that I might get out one night this week, anyone think that a lot of the 'fresh' may have moved on by Wednesday evening?

I expect fish will still be around, but in deeper channels where the salinity is more concentrated. Boating at night with debris everywhere is to be treated with caution - make sure you wear a life jacket and travel slowly with a powerful spotlight
