Yes, overall its a good rig, and it appears that I had a fault in the spider gears...

The D40 is a very capable 4x4,, yet it drive like a sedan...
I would have a guess and say you plate boat & trailer would weigh similar to my Fibreglass boat & trailer (2200kg).... The D40 tows my boat very easily, and it is still quiet quick from the lights....
I have an auto, and fuel consumption has improved greatly since new.. With 30k on the cock I getting 11.5-12.3lt/100km, and that is 100% city driving.... If I tow the boat down to tweed from Labrador, I get 14lt/100km combined....

Good stuff Jabba. Maybe I should start travelling to the coast to get mine looked at. I cant find a decent nissan dealer near me. Although I must say the last repair was done quite well. Now the fuel system is sorted it could almost swear that I have more power and better economy. Will be interesting to see the figures after I have fueled up a couple of times.

I dont know about you, but every time I get my car back its seems to behave differently. I swear that they reprogram the computer each time. This time I have got it back and the auto window wind up/down on the drivers side has changed (for the better) and the radio seems to stay on a bit longer when you turn the engine off. Just little things, quite odd though!
