    moreton bay whiting

    hey guys,
    im thinking about heading out this weekend and chasing a few whiting, but i have not heard any reports, i was thinking about going to the naval reserves or to the sandhills, anyone got any reports or ideas about where it would be better to head?

    from what i have herd they are getting them in both these areas....going by my diary i was gettin them on the naval reserve banks this time last year....avarage 100 a trip....hope this helps..
    p.s i was using squid strips and worms 4 bait

    reserve banks is on the northern side of peel towards the rous channel beacon, i think its a go slow area now

    I was catching whiting last weekend while drifting in Deception Bay. Even though we weren't after them, they were happy to take the bait!

    One of the guys at VMR Bribie has told me of two trips lately at this end of the bay that have produced 50+ each trip.
    Drifting near the northern cardinal marks and the cockle banks.
