LBGaddict - What pisses me off the most is blokes like you shooting other members opinion down. Do yourself a favour and read the FIRST post and reply to that - Dooley asked for setups to learn from.

All you had to do was post up what you use rather than what you ended up doing. I posted what I use and it works for me.

Fishing is a learning curve for everyone - young and old / experienced and inexperienced.

Getting away from the subject but on the same line......A tradesman I used to work with, in the last week before he retired, said he was constantly learning new ways to machine,turn metal with the machinery in todays world. Nobody is an expert and those who claim they are live in their own little world.

I'm happy to try anything new, which is how I've ended up with these techniques after getting comprehensively spanked by the pro guys. The old saying "don't knock it till you've tried it" well I've been there and done the light sinkers/tackle livie thing, so I can knock it, when i find or learn something better I'll definitely use it.
As for flying off on a tangent, that what happens in conversations.
I'm not shooting you down, you can fish that way if you want, just wanted to outline a better way to livebait.
The livebaiting fraternity in south east QLD just doesnt seem to have reached the same point as other regions with more prevalent schools of slimies and yakkas, hence the techniques havn't evolved to the same point (although the techniques I use are rather agricultural). Thats not taking a shot at any one, thats just how it is.
