    Hows it going mate

I have an Eagle fish mark 320 up the front on the electric (cost 400) and i reckon its a great bit of kit I have been picking out schools of queenies and dropping placcies on there noses all week.
I also have a lowrance lms 527 which i mainly use as a chart plotter but the sounder is ace on it although it is well above what you are looking top spend.

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing rods.

    Hey Simon
I'm a huge Humminbird fan now. However, I'm not saying they are the best and that all other suck. Far from it. If your used to the Eagles and understand how to read them, then go the same again. Or drop into a few retailers that have demo models going of other brands and have a play.
Also, no mater if you go colour or grey scale, get a unit with the highest number of verticle pixels (i think its that) as you can. Means more definition.
As for whats available around that price bracket? I'm not sure. Maybe even have a look at some oversea's websites and compare their prices.
My 2 and a half cents worth.

Simon, warranty mite be an issue mate with the O.S models, as you allready know.
Will the coin stretch to one of those side scanning toys, Roo's blew me away. Mates got the Furuno 620 in his hornet, very good, but to dear at the moment with the dollar.
Screw it, save ya coin and just tie off to a tree mate!

I wouldn't go past the Furuno's though I have an LS4100 in my alleycraft and it is magic, love it. Never really used any other models but find the Furuno spot on. Just my thoughts. Cheers.
