hi all me a mate and missus on the water at 2 pm sat arve, good seas lite winds headed out for the 2.5 hrs run to me spot a little choppy out past barren but the further whe went the better the swells got . in the cap channel they were 1.5m and about 15m apart real nice crussin at about 23knts all the wayout . get to my spott in 50 mtrs( held big reds last time) about 5.30 pm. first drop busted off it looked promising but nothing for next few hours. so up with pick and onto other spot . bang big red throat commin in followed by some reds we got into them till 2am then all went quite so off to bed it was good 120km out absolutly no wind ,swell ,nothing and up at 4am into it again till 6.30am with a 15knt chop gettin real sloppy so had to start the long run home .

it was a great trip

hi there Mrs benno1 we got hit on red throt all night i was sick of catchin them i think we would of thew 40 - 50 back as they were thick they all good sized too, they loved strip bait of the area and squid, pillies ,probly would of took one of my twisties if i put it on a hook lol.

as for reds 11 am till 3am , they were takin all baits as well we got heaps that were under 1 cm of legal so ya gotta do the right thing, i know there be some legal ones there next time i go there was no run only 1mtr between low and high tides hope that shed some light for ya.....
