    Thumbs up Ooops

    Poor bugger

He decided it was a perfect day to go fishing and it was, but not for him. The winch point decided it had had enough and let go.The boat ended up skidding down the ramp. The owner was waiting for the tide to come in to float it off the ramp. The previous owner was a member of ausfish so someone may know the boat.

do you mean the u-bolt broke - ie the one that goes through the hull, or the winch spring clip or similar on the end of the winch cable?

Always attach the chains BEFORE you leave the water, and after you arrive in it...

    Hi
The bit that broke was stainless D that goes thru the hull of the boat. He even had a bow rope tied off but with a couple of feet of slack so when the boat took the slack up it snapped the rope.

Depends on the boat, if that happened to my tinnie i would probably just keep pushing her down to the water and go fishing .

I was just thinking the same about my poly. Got to love the tuppleware, not the prettiest boat around but they have their upside. apart from being a big floating esky

The poor bugger, hope there wasn't to much damage
    Cheers Kim.
