    Canal fishing

Had a bit of a go in the local canals on Sunday, mainly targeting bream. Have never targeted bream on lures before and only really caught them as by catch, but they are some awesome fun in around the tight stuff, pylons etc.

For for about 4 hours from 10am - 2pm. All up I landed 17 fish all on the one lure, which consisted of about 13 bream, a grunter, wolf herring and a few trevally to make up the numbers. Also missed at least 10 more fish due to the hooks tangling on the R2S Baby Crank. Had a young fella with me, he did alright with 7 bream as well.

Biggest bream went 39cm to tip.

Yeh cheers on the correction, is a giant herring. Thought there were the same. They do go mad on light gear, was jumping everywhere.

Yeh Pete you probably did, I covered the whole system.

Haha, was fishing for trevally during the morning and got busted off on my favourite popper. So was feeling a bit down. Still waiting on a transducer and a few cables to get my boat back to pre-sink standard then I'm going to find some snapper.
