At Heaven's gate a soldier stood,
his story ready to tell,
St Peter said, 'no need my son all is understood,
Go right in cos you've already served your time in Hell'
Sorta makes you wince when you see that many murray cod strung up. Though in those days I doubt much waste would have happened.
I admire the bloke that caught a 5.13 mt great white on line.
that bloke single sticken that 60+ pounder in the first piccy is an awesome picture ,that is one the best things you can do for an adrenalin rush brings back the memories

A gold medal performance taking a Tiger on an alvey. Thanks for the link. I could remember being told stories of such feats but you always wonder. Well these pics back up the claims. My family have told me of catches of Yellow Tailed Kingfish being caught behind Millaquin Sugar Mill in the Burnett River, Bundaberg
Great stuff I reckon.
Here's a couple of my Poppa.
The first is after someone did not close the clasps on his tackle box on the old jetty at Wardell and the second is having a smoko at Flatrock between Ballina and Lennox I think.
I should have some of my other Poppa and Nanna too somewhere.
Gees I miss them![]()
I intend on living for-ever....so far so good
Hey manchild, interesting poem on your signature, i've heard that before but it went -
A soldier stood at the pearly gates
And to st peter he did tell
One more soldier reporting for duty sir
I've served my time in hell.
Interesting adaption, i wonder which one is the original.
Swindells.
Awesome Shots, thanks for sharing.
