The Queen Mary Falls are great sight seeing and there are a few other falls as well. The Caravan park / camp ground at QM falls serves a great lunch

The bottom road,, from east of QM Falls to Killarney is OK, with many creek crossings, but nothing to stop a Nissan

I have found at least 2 " offshutes " that locals have made that would provide some interesting " fun ".

The Killarney hotel also has cold beer............ and on tap

Wags im guessing youll be calling the Warwick Shire council to enquire on the status of the road. Im pretty sure the road through the gorge is named Condamine River Road.

IMO, If the road is open, we should go. They would still have the road closed if they were worried about it being damaged.

Spoke to the council this morning and I was told the road is open (it was never closed), but only open for 4wd vehicles. The water levels should recede by the weekend. The waterfalls are good at the moment.

As the trip to the Queen Mary falls may take a good couple of hours, If we can all meet up at the start of the track/ or outside the Dungadin Pub at 9.00am and start the trip say at 9.30am.

    Cheers,

    Wags

If Dungadin is the starting point, where the hell is it, the pub and for that matter, how long to get to theb start line?

And as he said below, are the cheapy 40 channel UHF radios hand helds OK for the trip?

Cheapies are OK, but very good batteries are essential. Lithium is best.
