    Brissy 8th May

Hi all, had a few weeks off fishing since we got back from hervey bay and started to get the urge for a fish. organised with the brothe in law few days before hand and we decided to hit the brissy this morning. We were out on the water by 5:30am casting hb's and sp's along the rockwall. Target for the day were bream, squire and cod. My 1st 3 fish for the morning were sthinking pike on sp's while rick (bro in law) landed his 1st cod on sp's. He was pretty chuffed about that. Not long after i landed my 1st cod for the day. Chasing the bream was a pain due to pike swarming out lures! Had plenty of bust offs too, 1 bust off i got was a good fish, im thinking maybe a 3-4kg cod. I was using my alphas rig spooled with 20lb castaway 20lb leader. It ate my lure and took off straight back into the rocks before i got a chance to even say "im on!" lol! got totally smoked! lol! All in all we landed plenty of fish for the morning, 4 cod, 1 squire, 1 bream, 1 flattie and a bucket load of pike!

Sounds like a fun session, I was out earlier in the week and your not wrong about the hordes of pike (and bait for that matter), it was almost one a cast. That was right out the front walls however, so i concentrated my effort back inside and there were a few nice bream that were playing the game.

    Cheers Chris
