fished wello on the public holiday monday with crabbing being the main priority. we beat the croud out and set the pots. eagerly anticipating some nice crab we finish the string and then looking at the sounder we threw the pic out straight away. untried ground we were optomistic. 2 nice tailor came abourd straight away with many 33 to 35 squire being released. we were all using plastic by now and my mate lands a 42 cm model squire. we also get another 7 tailor from 35 to 45 cm. we make a call to go check the pots. we get 3 nice sandies straight up. i moved up the front of the boat to clear room as one of my mates over bAlanced and i ended up toppling(back flipping) into the water. i stupidly tried to grab the rail on the way over and ended up looseing my right hand index finger at the top knuckle and breaking my middle finger. i had alot of troble getting back in to the boat having my ski jacket on... shoes on and only 1 working hand. i ended up ditching my shoes as my mates shown super human strength to haul me over the back with a severed hand and all.... 2 days and 1 operation and 2 hospitals later i find myself writing this report with my left hand... i just wanted to thank my mates for there help for helping me out soo much..... 1 mate drove me to the hospital while the other got the pots which we got 17 sandies. pity the fishing was soo good..
Bloody hell mate thats a bit wild. Not only loosing a finger but putting you off a good session on the tailor and squire. Before you got busted up were you on the south end of welly with the pots cause i have had no luck with sandy's after eveyone checks them and takes my full mullet from a fresh pot. Get well son eh. Cheers
ooooooooooooohh, that,s gotta hurt, probably could have been a lot worse if not for your mates, you probably owe them a beer. all the best mate , and get well soon and get back at em, regards roy.
