G'day
Was detailing down on the hardstand today at MBTBC, then this thing came in on a truck, first launch..... I'd guess it to be between 36' and 40' long, weigh next to nothing with 1400hp strapped to the rear in the fashion of 4x 350hp Yamaha 4 banger V8's. It's headed to the kimberlies. Built locally (I presume) by Woody Marine (anyone heard of them?)

Now thats a crabbing charter boat!!
Charter boat?? What charter boat?
Damn I would love that for my own personal crabbing tinny.
Jack.
hi the fuel tank would have to be at least 1000ltrs because i know they use 25ltrs an hour x 4 = 100ltrs per hour at 4000rpm and 55ltrs per hour at 5500rpm x 4 = 220ltrs per hour at full stick. you would want the passengers to be paying good money to be on the ride.
cheers jim
go over to woody's yard at Tingalpa Dave, they make some nice RIB's. worth a short drive for a look.

Looks like the sister vessel @ 14M only carries 795L of fuel.... a bit light on I would think?
Dave
I think Woody marine make the woody marine water heaters and they build the Naiad RIB's. We have a 12' Naiad as a tender with a 30 on the back and it is one of the most seaworthy small boats I have been in
