    Burrum Heads this coming weekend

A mate and I are taking the boat (and the wives) to Burrum Heads this weekend. The plan is to catch anything that doesn't require a visit to the Doctor and that we can get a hook into. We will mainly be using plastics and HB's.
Would appreciate any hint and tips. All pm's with secret gps marks will be kept confidential .

Sorry mate...no GPS marks but go straight across the river to the black bank and try luring along there for flathead. If you then head to the right you will also get amongst cod and flathead etc at the first sandbank as the deep water along the bank hits the sandbank running at right angles to the river bank, if that makes sense. Also might be worth while heading up past walkers point ramp, which is to the left and the opposite side to Burrum, to the point. Good six to eight metres of water and plenty of livies there so often big queenies etc smashing into bait around the rocks there. Watch the ledge that runs out from the headland as it'll rip your prop off. Good eddies between the point and the ramp on the run out. PLenty of deeper water up towards buxton with nice run out gutters etc but watch those rocks! Also be very careful on north easterly as it gets very hard to load the boat on either ramp, especially toward the top of the tide when the sandy beaches beside the ramps disappear.
